Spencer is returning for his third year as an instructor at LYC. He has been sailing at LYC since he was 7 years old. He spent 2 years on the LYC Race Team and 3 years as a junior instructor prior to moving into his instructor position. Spencer is a US Sailing Level 1 Certified Instructor.
Spencer finished his freshman year at SUNY Maritime Academy. He will be spending 45 days at sea on the USTS Empire State VI.

Jonah Mitchell - Moore- Instructor
Lewes Delaware native, sailor of the local waters since nine years old. I was honored with a scholarship, and completed the Jr. Sailing Program after fifth grade.
At 14 years of age I completed the course aboard the Kalmar Nyckel and am currently a volunteer when the ship is in Lewes. Throughout my sailing experience I've always found myself teaching people around me how to sail. I'm looking forward to a possible career in sailing safety and instruction.
Just Go Sailing!
